Blooming is seven haunting tracks of melancholy, depressive folk guitar and feedback worship.
Matthew Jaime, founding member of Fed Ash and Bleak started Mountain Of Woe after period of deep personal loss, depression, and grief. Shifting from the electronics-based noise of Machine Moon (Jaime's previous moniker for his solo work) Mountain Of Woe embraces the drones of Earth and the minimalist slow-core of Low and Magnolia Electric Company.
This is a project for those battling guilt and surviving grief. For those of us seeking redemption though we may not deserve it. For the lost. - Anthems Of The Undesirable
I am so proud and happy to be able to finally put out a release from my longtime friend Matthew Jaime. We discussed the intentions and ideas for Blooming at length, and the product has been one of the most fulfilling I've been able to assemble and release in years (and our most hands-on, unique release since Mere Phantoms' "Famine For A Slow Death" screened 12"s).
Caszsettes are limited to 100 copies, on professionally dubbed, high-bias FerroMaster C256 cassettes with an imprinted A-side, custom DIY B-side labels, and a two-color J-card printed on hand-cut, recycled paper.
